Postgraduate Diploma

Das Postgraduate Diploma ist ein einjähriger Aufbaustudiengang (Level 8) für Bachelor-Absolventen und entspricht dem ersten Jahr des Masters. Das Studienfach des Postgrad Diplomas muss im gleichen Fachgebiet liegen wie der bereits erworbene Bachelor. Nach erfolgreichem Abschluss erhält der Absolvent eine Postgraduate-Diploma-Urkunde, mit der er an jeder Hochschule und Universität ins 2. Jahr des Masters (Level 9) einsteigen kann.

In Neuseeland werden jedem Studienjahr sogenannte Levels zugeordnet:  das dritte Jahr eines Bachelors entspricht Level 7, das Postgrad Diploma Level 8, der Master Level 9. Es ist in Neuseeland üblich, zunächst ein Postgrad Diploma zu machen und dann ins 2. Jahr des Masters einzusteigen.
